High Limit Sprint Car Series Acquires All Star Circuit of Champions

The High Limit Sprint Car Series has completed the acquisition of the All Star Circuit of Champions. With immediate effect, NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and four-time World of Outlaws Sprint Cars champion Brad Sweet will assume ownership of the regional 410 Sprint Car series previously owned by three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and Eldora Speedway owner Tony Stewart.

“Today, Sprint Car racing is in an even better position thanks to Tony’s contributions, which include his ownership of the All Stars,” stated Larson, co-owner of the High Limit Sprint Car Series. “Tony’s commitment to giving back to the sport has personally inspired me. Brad and I share his passion for improving the business side of the sport for teams, drivers, and sponsors, and we’re grateful that Tony has entrusted us to continue what he started.”

Stewart acquired the All Star Circuit of Champions in 2015, adding to his remarkable list of accomplishments in motorsports. As only the fourth owner in the series’ history, which originated in 1970, Stewart expanded the All Star Circuit of Champions by broadening its presence across the country, increasing financial rewards for its teams, and raising the series’ profile by partnering with FloRacing in 2020.

“When I bought the All Stars in 2015, my objective was to unite a divided class of regional 410 winged sprint car racing,” explained Stewart. “Over the past nine years, not only have we achieved this unity, but we have also pushed the boundaries in terms of geographic reach, prize structures, and race formats. In addition, we have fostered talent development for young drivers and maintained a path for our experienced veterans. I am immensely proud of our accomplishments. Our relationships with corporate partners, tracks, promoters, team owners, and drivers have all contributed to the success of the All Star Series. The time is right to pass the torch to Kyle and Brad. I have had numerous discussions with both of them regarding their vision for 410 racing, and I am confident that under their leadership, the sport will thrive for many years to come.

“It is a great honor for me to be listed alongside Bud Miller, Bert & Brigitte Emick, and Guy Webb as one of the four owners of the All Stars since 1970. I must also thank our employees. Don Grabey, Eric Walls, and Kevin Nouse have made invaluable contributions to the Series and the sport as a whole. The Series Director role is a thankless one, and I appreciate their efforts. Blake Anderson and Ross Paulson have been with the All Stars since I took ownership, and their enthusiasm and dedication to the All Stars and 410 racing are unparalleled. Kenny Osborne, Erin Noel, John Menear, Tyler Altmeyer, Steve Topper, Gooch Jeff Patterson, and Logan Nouse are the most recent additions to our integral team, which has played a significant role in our humble success over nearly a decade. I look forward to our final banquet in December, where we can celebrate with all our constituents.”

In 2023, Larson and Sweet introduced the High Limit Sprint Car Series, featuring a schedule of 12 midweek events. Like Stewart, their aim is to elevate Sprint Car racing and transform their passion for the sport into a positive experience for fans, drivers, teams, and race tracks.

“We’ve gained valuable insights during our inaugural midweek season this year,” said Sweet, co-owner of the High Limit Sprint Car Series. “We have a strong desire to build on what we’ve learned and continue contributing to the growth of sprint car racing. Kyle, Tony, and I believe in this sport and want to create more opportunities for teams, drivers, and tracks. Stay tuned for more announcements in the near future.”

Details about the 2024 schedule and team roster will be announced shortly. Stay up-to-date with all upcoming announcements by following High Limit on X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.
