With an undefeated record in conference play, Grand Valley State Football can secure another honor, while Davenport Football competes for one of its biggest wins in program history by aiming for their ninth victory of the season.
Throughout the end of the GLIAC season, the spotlight shone on three teams and two important games. Grand Valley State Football and Davenport Football were both undefeated in GLIAC, vying for the conference title, with the defending back-to-back national champions, Ferris State Football, poised to make an impact. After Ferris State handed Davenport its first loss, three teams entered the final week with one loss in the GLIAC. The Grand Valley State team was motivated to host Davenport on Senior Day in Allendale and secure a victory to clinch the league outright, positioning them for a high seed in the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs. If GVSU loses, Davenport will claim a share of the title, and so could Ferris State with a win over Wayne State.
