Grizzlies’ Ja Morant shares adorable image of daughter Kaari’s first basketball game

It seems like a new generation of basketball talent in the Morant family may be on the horizon. Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant recently shared a photo on his Instagram story of his 4-year-old daughter Kaari Morant playing in what appeared to be her very first basketball game. Prior to this, Morant had mentioned that his daughter has a fondness for basketball, often joining him on the court before games at FedExForum for his pregame warmup.

Morant’s father, Tee, was a former basketball player who played alongside NBA champion Ray Allen during their high school days. Additionally, Morant’s younger sister Teniya currently plays basketball at Mississippi Valley State.

Currently, Morant is on a 25-game suspension by the NBA for conduct detrimental to the league. Although he is allowed to travel and practice with the Grizzlies, he cannot participate in actual game action until December 19th, when the Grizzlies face the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Grizzlies, who currently have a record of 0-6, are the only winless team in the NBA. They are currently on a three-game road trip, which will conclude in Portland on Sunday at 9 p.m. (Bally Sports Southeast).

WHAT’S NEXT: In Portland, the Memphis Grizzlies found another way to lose. Can they find a way to win?
