Giants QB Daniel Jones ruled out after exiting in first half

LAS VEGAS — In a shocking turn of events, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones suffered a knee injury during Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The injury occurred in the first half and it appeared to be a non-contact incident.

Following halftime, it was officially confirmed that Jones would not be returning to the game. This news left fans and teammates concerned about the severity of the injury.

The incident took place on the final play of the first quarter when Jones was tackled and his knee buckled under the pressure. Despite the pain, he chose to continue playing. However, on the first play of the second quarter, he suddenly collapsed while untouched in the midst of a dropback.

In the absence of Jones, Tommy DeVito took over as the quarterback. The undrafted rookie had previously struggled in his limited playing time, throwing for negative yardage in his last appearance against the New York Jets.
