Georgia football commit quarterback Dylan Raiola, previously named the top recruit in the class of 2024, has lost his position as the nation’s number one recruit. Nevertheless, Raiola still maintains a prominent ranking of fifth among the class of 2024 recruits, according to the 247Sports Composite ranking.
Raiola currently plays high school football at Buford High School in Buford, Georgia, where he remains the top recruit in the state. However, his title as the country’s best quarterback has been overtaken by Julian Sayin, a commitment to the University of Alabama.
The Georgia football program is confident in Raiola’s abilities, considering him an outstanding passer with impressive mobility. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 230 pounds, this quarterback has led Buford to an unbeaten start of 6-0 as they prepare to face Mill Creek, also undefeated, on October 13. Raiola is part of a talented group of class of 2024 recruits, including KJ Bolden and Eddrick Houston.
Prior to Buford High School, Raiola played football at Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona. Known for his strong arm and potential to compete for the starting role, he is the son of former Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola.
With 26 commitments in the class of 2024, head coach Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs currently hold the top recruiting class for that cycle.
