The North Carolina Tar Heels return to the court on Sunday for their second game of the season after defeating Radford on Monday. Now, the Tar Heels welcome in Lehigh to the Dean Dome for a non-conference tilt.
Hubert Davis and his team aim to go 2-0 early in the season and secure wins before the challenging part of the schedule begins.
This is another game where the Tar Heels are expected to have control and an advantage throughout. It’s hoped that they do not struggle early, like their game against Radford, and instead come out and dominate from start to finish.
It will be interesting to see how Davis uses his rotation in this game. Last game, 11 players saw action, with 9 of them scoring.
The Tar Heels are expected to have an advantage on both ends of the court in this game, and we hope for a smooth performance.
Here’s our game preview, info, and prediction for Sunday’s battle.
Something to watch
I’ll be keeping my eye on three-point shooting in Sunday’s game. During the season opener, UNC started strong from the three-point line, making their first three attempts.
However, as the game went on, they slowed down a bit.
The Tar Heels managed to shoot 35% from the three-point line, going 7-for-20 in the game. Cormac Ryan led the way with three made three-pointers while Harrison Ingram had two.
Key to victory
Like the game against Radford, this is an opponent UNC should be able to handle. However, we saw Radford hang with the Tar Heels before a late second-half push got them the win.
The key to victory here is simple. Play your game and make sure to get out to a big lead early. Doing so will keep Lehigh out of it and not give them any more hope to pull off an upset.
