Former UFC champ Eddie Alvarez vs. Mike Perry to headline stacked BKFC 56 event

BKFC is set to host a highly anticipated event in December, featuring two former UFC stars and three title fights. Headlining the event at 175 pounds will be former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez taking on Mike Perry. The event will take place at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City. BKFC president David Feldman made the announcement on The MMA Hour.

Alvarez, who made his bareknuckle debut in April, will be looking to build on his impressive victory against Chad Mendes in BKFC 41. The fight was closely contested, with both fighters scoring knockdowns. Alvarez ultimately secured the win via a narrow split decision. Perry, on the other hand, has been making waves in the world of bareknuckle boxing after his departure from the UFC. With a 3-0 record in BKFC, Perry has quickly become a fan favorite. He earned a unanimous decision victory over Julian Lane in his debut, followed by a thrilling win against Michael Page in BKFC 27. Perry then solidified his status by stopping former UFC champion Luke Rockhold with a second-round TKO in the main event of BKFC 41.

In addition to the headline bout, the event will also feature a heavyweight matchup between two more UFC veterans: Ben Rothwell and Todd Duffe. Rothwell, with an undefeated record in bareknuckle fights, will look to continue his winning streak against Duffe.

Completing the main card are three championship fights. Christine Ferea will defend her flyweight title against Bec Rawlings, while Arnold Adams and Mick Terrill will compete for the vacant heavyweight title. Kai Stewart will also defend his featherweight title against Howard Davis.

The BKFC event promises to be action-packed and filled with excitement. Fans can anticipate a night of thrilling fights and top-notch competition. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated event.
