Ford reveals driver line-up for factory IMSA GTD Pro effort

The announcement comes almost a year after Ford unveiled its plans to make a comeback to IMSA in collaboration with Multimatic. The partnership will feature two new-for-2024 Mustang GT3 cars.

Next year, Hand and Muller will team up once again to pilot one of the factory Mustangs in GTD Pro. This reunion comes after their successful partnership, which led to a GTLM win at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2017. The duo also contributed to Ford’s victory in the GTE Pro class at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2016, where they collaborated with current Cadillac driver Sebastien Bourdais.

Since the conclusion of the Ford GT program in 2019, Hand has made several appearances in NASCAR Cup events. Meanwhile, Muller has competed in both America and overseas, driving Mercedes GT3 cars during the same period.
