Elon Musk’s Impact on NASCAR: Sports Rights Surge by 40% in 2023

Good morning! I’m Sean McNulty, and I’ve got the latest Hollywood and Media news for you on this Thursday, November 30, 2023. Today, let’s start by giving a shoutout to the DISNEY corporation for their new board members, CEO James Gorman of MORGAN STANLEY, and former SKY head Jeremy Darroch. The search for these two gentlemen over 60 began in April 2023 and they were selected to join DISNEY’s 12 person board. And just to set the record straight, the board actually has 5 women on it. We also learned that CEO Iger will be stepping down from his role at the end of 2026, but who knows about 2028?

In other news, SNL has some exciting guests lined up for the end of the year, with Adam Driver and Olivia Rodrigo on December 9, and Kate McKinnon and Billie Eilish on December 16. Additionally, NETFLIX is now entering the world of video games, with Grand Theft Auto’s mobile versions being added to their gaming offering on December 14. And the NY Film Critics Circle has announced their winners.

Looking ahead, the next two WINTER OLYMPICS are likely to be awarded to preferred bidder locations. And in film news, Queen Bey’s Renaissance will be hitting theaters this weekend in about 2300 locations, with pre-sales numbers around $6 million. It’s a wide range, from $15 million to $20 million, depending on how many fans show up.

So many things happening – executive changes, TV series news, sports league deals, horror movie updates, and social media happenings. Stay tuned for more updates!
