Martinez targeted Yanez’s left leg with powerful calf kicks, causing significant damage. Yanez stumbled and struggled to continue, leading to Martinez’s victory via more leg kicks.

The winner: Edson Barboza vs. Sodiq Yusuff at UFC Fight Night 230
Edson Barboza (24-11 MMA, 18-11 UFC) faced a near-finish in the opening moments of his bout against Sodiq Yusuff (13-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC). However, Barboza’s experience allowed him to mount a remarkable comeback. He overcame adversity and secured a unanimous decision victory, with scores of 49-46, 48-46, and 48-46.
The fight began with an intense exchange of strikes, with Yusuff delivering powerful blows that visibly hurt Barboza. Despite being in survival mode, Barboza demonstrated resilience and threatened with submissions from the bottom. As the fight progressed, Barboza regained momentum and even landed a spectacular wheel kick. The bout concluded with Barboza dominating the action and earning the comeback victory.
Barboza’s triumph marks his second consecutive win, following a nasty first-round finish over Billy Quarantillo in April.
