Through six games to start the 2023-24 NBA season, Dario Šarić has showcased his skills and proven why the Golden State Warriors pursued him in free agency.

Following the Warriors’ thrilling 141-139 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center, Draymond Green spoke highly of Šarić’s contribution to the team’s success. Green commended Šarić for his ability to stretch the floor with his shooting and his impressive physicality on the court. The addition of Šarić, along with Chris Paul, has bolstered the Warriors’ second unit, leading them to five consecutive wins.

In reference to the team’s decision to pursue Šarić in free agency, Green stated, “He has been huge for us, and it was the reason he was our number one target. We went all in, and his presence has truly benefited our team.”

Šarić and Paul were added to the Warriors’ roster during the offseason to mentor younger players like Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody. Their chemistry, developed from their time together on the Phoenix Suns, has been evident from the start, fulfilling Golden State’s expectations. Šarić’s presence as a versatile stretch big has added a new dimension to the Warriors’ offense.

In the game against the Thunder, Šarić scored 20 points, coming second only to Steph Curry, showcasing his shooting skills from both the field and beyond the arc. He also contributed with rebounds, assists, and steals, playing a crucial role in the team’s victory.
