Draymond interrupts reporter to dub Curry as NBA’s greatest point guard originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
Steph Curry continues to enhance his already decorated resume, and one of his teammates is boldly declaring him the greatest point guard in NBA history.
Following the Warriors’ 120-109 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night, a reporter asked Draymond Green if Curry is one of the greatest point guards of all time. However, Green quickly interrupted to emphasize that Curry is on a different level.
“One of? Or the greatest point guard of all time? Yeah, I’ll take that one,” Green confidently replied.
Curry’s impressive credentials include four NBA titles, being the only unanimous MVP in league history, and revolutionizing the game with his unmatched shooting ability.
Despite being in his 15th season at the age of 35, Curry shows no signs of slowing down after a remarkable start to the 2023-24 NBA season.
Over eight games, Curry has averaged 30.4 points per game with a shooting percentage of 54.5 from the field and 48.8 percent from beyond the arc. He has also set a historic streak of eight consecutive games with four or more made 3-pointers, surpassing his own record of seven set during the 2018-19 NBA season.
If Curry maintains this exceptional level of play for a few more years, it’s likely that many others will share Green’s sentiment about him being the greatest point guard of all time.
