Devin Booker has once again been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the eighth time in his Phoenix Suns career. He achieved this honor for his outstanding performance in a four-game stretch from last Monday through Sunday.
Booker ended the week with a game-winning buzzer-beater, scoring 28 points and providing 11 assists in the Suns’ 116-113 victory against the New York Knicks on Sunday.
Throughout the four-game run, the guard averaged 30.3 points, 7.8 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game, showcasing his exceptional skills on the court.
His shooting percentages were equally impressive, with a 48% overall accuracy, 43% from three-point range, and 90% from the free-throw line, in addition to contributing 1.5 steals per game.
As the Suns have secured seven consecutive wins, Booker has been a key player, averaging 29.4 points and 8.9 assists while maintaining a 50% shooting percentage from the field this season.
Despite the incredible performances of other players, Booker’s stellar week ultimately led to his Player of the Week honor. This included a 40-point game against the Memphis Grizzlies and being the sole All-Star available for the team in the past two outings.
With this latest recognition, Booker now leads all past Suns in Western Conference Player of the Week nods, surpassing Steve Nash’s seven honors.
