Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson find themselves at the top of the NASCAR title race, and the anticipation is palpable! Okay, maybe not to that extreme, but as a NASCAR enthusiast, I am genuinely thrilled to see these two talented drivers vying for the championship. This season, however, feels somewhat lackluster, at least in my opinion. The usual dynamic drivers who tend to steal the spotlight, such as Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch, are unlikely to be significant contenders in the upcoming race in Phoenix. Only Hamlin has a chance, as the other four have already been eliminated. To add to the excitement, Hamlin was recently labeled a “dick” and a “hack” by an angry Ryan Blaney at the Miami race. These derogatory terms almost sound like the name of a legal firm or those injury lawyers who claim to prioritize your needs and fight for the millions you deserve. Morgan & Morgan, anyone? For the people!

But let’s not dwell solely on the drama. Throughout this article, we’ll also touch upon other thrilling incidents, like Kyle Larson’s impressive display of skill, demolishing pit road barrels; multiple fights in the minor leagues; Danica Patrick sporting cowboy boots; and perhaps even a glimpse of driver and Victoria’s Secret model Toni Breidinger engaging in a stretching routine. It fell completely flat, but it sure provided some amusement for the spectators. In the middle of the race, Larson and the race leader Ryan Blaney found themselves entering the pit. Larson attempted a strategic maneuver to gain an advantage over Blaney. It was a clever idea that could have turned the tide in his favor, but those pesky pit road barrels had other plans. Rest in peace, barrels.

Ryan Blaney Doesn’t Hold Back in His Criticism of Denny Hamlin

Blaney decided to voice his discontentment with another driver, Denny Hamlin, by labeling him a hack, among other things. Blanket statements like these often bring trouble, just not at OutKick—pretty much everywhere else. Nevertheless, it was quite a successful day for Blaney, who finished second behind Bell and boasted an impressively fast race car throughout the afternoon. In the current standings, Blaney holds the final championship spot with a comfortable ten-point lead. Meanwhile, William Byron has a 30-point advantage and is likely to secure his place in the upcoming race at Martinsville, as long as he avoids making any foolish mistakes this week. If fans already resent him, they won’t know what hit them after he bulldozes through half the field on race day. The atmosphere will be electric.

Speaking of thrilling moments, there’s nobody quite like Dale Earnhardt Jr. when it comes to shaking things up. JR Nation knows him affectionately as Junior or Junebug—it’s your choice. Junior decided to have some fun at the Xfinity Series race over the weekend, hopping back behind the wheel for only the second time this season. Remember, his first attempt ended with him being pulled out of his car on pit road because it unexpectedly blew up. Thankfully, this time was considerably smoother for (Raise Hell, Praise) Dale. He secured a respectable fifth-place finish and maintained a competitive position throughout the race. Well, except for that one mishap when he wrecked one of his cars. I doubt that was part of his plan.

This brings me to another topic: the remarkable abilities of Dale Jr. It’s been seven years since he retired from racing, yet he still manages to step back in the game for two races each season and consistently remain competitive. It’s like riding a bike for him. Additionally, he’s an absolute must-follow on Twitter—that dreadful vortex. Just take a look at his most recent retweet:
