Saints coach Dennis Allen expressed his frustration with the inconsistent performance of his team following their loss to the Jaguars on Thursday night.
“Right now, our team is facing issues due to its inconsistency,” Allen commented after the game. “We need to address and rectify this problem. Fortunately, we have 10 days to work on it.”
Allen believes that the upcoming schedule, which includes some time off before preparing for their next game against the Colts, will allow the Saints to reflect on their mistakes and find ways to improve.
“I informed the team that this is an opportunity for a fresh start,” Allen explained. “We will evaluate various aspects over the next few days as we gear up to face our next opponent. Our focus is on enhancing our performance and achieving consistency. That’s the challenge we face – to become a more consistent football team.”
The Saints currently have a 3-4 record in the competitive NFC South division. Despite their position, Allen believes they are not out of playoff contention. However, out of the seven games played this season, their only impressive performance was a 34-0 victory against the Patriots. Allen acknowledges the need for a change.
