De’Aaron Fox put on an incredible performance, leading the Sacramento Kings to a 132-127 victory over the LA Lakers. Despite battling a sprained ankle, he managed to score eight points in the final six minutes of regulation. Many teams have opted to rest their star players in the second game of a back-to-back, and Fox’s injured ankle provides a valid reason for the Kings to follow suit.

This is not the first time Fox has dealt with an ankle injury. In April, despite the playoff seeding being at stake, the Kings chose to rest him. It is likely they will take a cautious approach early in the season as well.
