The University of Dayton has exciting news for basketball fans: all tickets for the upcoming men’s basketball season have been completely sold out.
This remarkable achievement marks the third consecutive year that the tickets have been sold out even before the Flyers hit the court to kick off the season. The university spokesperson happily shared this update with the public.
Before the regular season commences, UD will treat fans to a pair of exhibition games. The Flyers will go head-to-head against Ohio State on October 22, followed by a game against Cedarville on October 28.
Neil Sullivan, UD’s Vice-President and Director of Athletics, expressed deep gratitude for the incredible support of the community. He attested to the amazing bond between the fans, coaches, and players, emphasizing that it is much more than just a transaction. Instead, it is a special relationship that they will always cherish.
This outstanding achievement extends UD’s sellout streak to an impressive 60 games, dating back to the 2019-20 season. It’s important to note that the NCAA did not track attendance during the Covid season. In the 2019-20 season, the Flyers achieved 14 sellouts, followed by 17 in 2021-22, and 16 in the 2022-23 season.
Notably, the Flyers have consistently sold out games before they were even played for the past three years, showcasing the unwavering support from their passionate fanbase.
For fans who are unable to attend the games, there’s no need to worry. Every Dayton Flyer men’s basketball game will be broadcasted on WHIO Radio, and you can also catch the game live on WHIO.com.
