Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert made his return to practice on Friday following his recovery from a fractured forearm sustained against the Cowboys on Nov. 5.
The 28-year-old was unable to participate in practice earlier this week.
Despite missing two games after the bye week due to his injury, Goedert was not placed on Injured Reserve, reflecting the Eagles’ optimism for his return in upcoming games.
Although uncertain for the 49ers game, Goedert’s practice return on Friday indicates a potential readiness for the Week 14 matchup against the Cowboys.
The Eagles are set to disclose game designations for the 49ers game on Friday afternoon.
Additionally, tight end Grant Calcaterra (ankle) also rejoined practice on Friday after sitting out the Bills game and the first two days of practice during the week.
However, Fletcher Cox (groin) and Zach Cunningham (hamstring) were still non-participants despite their presence at practice. Cox, in particular, conducted individual workouts on a side field early in practice.
Considering that it is unusual for players to participate in games without prior practice, the Eagles anticipate Lane Johnson (groin) to be back in action against the 49ers after his full participation in Thursday’s practice and presence at practice on Friday.
Moreover, DeSean Jackson visited practice following his retirement as an Eagle, interacting with receivers and former teammates such as Jason Kelce after his press conference.
