CP3 out for Warriors-Clippers with leg injury, reportedly day to day originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
The injury bug has bitten the Warriors once again.
Chris Paul will be absent from Golden State’s upcoming game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a nerve injury in his lower left leg. This injury occurred during the game against the Kings on Tuesday, with Paul experiencing lower left leg soreness during the third quarter. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, he will be day-to-day in his return to play.
At the same game, Warriors guard/forward Gary Payton II also suffered a significant injury. He tore his right calf and will be sidelined “indefinitely,” as reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr revealed in an interview on Wednesday night that both Paul and Payton underwent MRIs and the team will provide an official injury update on Thursday.
Kerr expressed his hope to have both veterans back soon, especially after the immediate impact of their absence was felt in the Warriors’ loss to the Kings.
