Countdown To Craziness Looks Like A Big Success

Countdown to Craziness has come and gone, and it was an unforgettable experience.

It has evolved into an impressive technological event, showcasing unparalleled coordination. One particular highlight was the presence of a small drone. The drone made its debut during the player introductions, skillfully maneuvering at waist level. Pay close attention during Jared McCain’s and Sean Stewart’s introductions, and you’ll catch a glimpse of it zipping by.

The drone made another appearance during the scrimmage, which was perhaps easier considering it flew above the players. However, its presence proved to be somewhat distracting.

The scrimmage offered some noteworthy moments as well. Kyle Filipowski displayed his improved mobility, attempting multiple three-point shots with limited success but impressing with his exceptional passing awareness. Keep an eye out for his sensational closing dunk. Additionally, if Christian Reeves performs at the level we witnessed on Friday, he will definitely make an impact, showcasing his dominance inside the paint.

We caught a glimpse of other players as well:

TJ Powers showcased his sharp passing skills, leading to a layup, followed by a successful three-pointer. Despite mixed reviews over the summer, he looked impressive on Friday.

Jaden Schutt seized the opportunity for an open three-pointer, confidently nailing it from near the bench.

Sean Stewart secured a rebound and embarked on a coast-to-coast run, but unfortunately missed a right-handed shot from the left side. We can expect him to utilize his left hand in similar situations as his career progresses.

Caleb Foster exhibited aggressiveness but received two charging fouls. While his talent was evident, it’s important to remember that this was a team scrimmage, so there’s no need for concern.

Similarly, Jared McCain may not have had a major impact during the scrimmage, but his time will come.

Mark Mitchell appeared slightly rusty after missing some time, but there’s no doubt that he will bounce back. He simply needs more practice and playing time.

It was a pleasure to see Jeremy Roach back in good health, returning to his former self. Jaylen Blakes and Ryan Young also participated, although they didn’t particularly stand out. Nevertheless, both players are known for their skills and will undoubtedly perform well.

In fact, one of the most impressive aspects of this group is that, as the younger players continue to develop, there isn’t much disparity between the presumed starters and the rest of the team. Jon Scheyer and the coaching staff possess insights and observations that we can’t possibly comprehend, but any of these players could be legitimate starters. How often can you say that?

There were a couple of other memorable moments as well. Cooper Flagg, who was present for an official visit, appeared to thoroughly enjoy himself. He joined the energetic Crazies and exchanged high-fives with them along the way. Once settled, he even proudly raised The Baby. We’re not implying that his decision to choose Duke will solely depend on his experience on Friday night, but it certainly can’t hurt.

In a move we’d never have expected from Mike Krzyzewski, Jon Scheyer also decided to join the Crazies and take a seat among them. We witnessed him glance at the cheer sheet and cover his eyes, clearly feeling embarrassed. And why was he embarrassed?

Because he was listed as the sexiest coach in college basketball.

It was a heartwarming moment for the young coach, who earlier in the day announced his contract extension with Duke. The program is now undeniably his, and he’s already leaving his mark. It’s truly remarkable.
