The Columbus Crew staged an incredible comeback, defeating top-seeded FC Cincinnati 3-2 in a thrilling Major League Soccer Eastern Conference final. They will face defending champions Los Angeles FC in the MLS Cup final.

LAFC secured a 2-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo, with a first-half goal from Ryan Hollingshead and an 80th-minute own goal from Franco Escobar.

Early in the Ohio derby, Cincinnati scored twice with goals from Brandon Vazquez and Luciano Acosta, holding onto their lead until 15 minutes from the end of regular time.

An own goal from Alvas Powell and a Diego Rossi goal in the 86th minute forced the game into extra time. Columbus went on to dominate the extra period, securing a 3-2 victory with a dramatic close-range goal from substitute Christian Ramirez.

The match was enthralling with Cincinnati, the Eastern Conference champions and season table toppers, striking first.

Ultimately, Columbus emerged as the stronger team, dominating extra time when substitute Kevin Molino’s last-minute cross led to the decisive goal.

With a dramatic and energetic encounter throughout the game, Columbus is set to face LAFC for the MLS Cup title.

LAFC’s match against US Open Cup winners Houston was marked by a powerful start, with Mexican forward Carlos Vela hitting the bar in the opening minute.

Houston almost found the equalizer, but LAFC held its ground before securing a 2-0 victory, booking their place in the MLS Cup final.

LAFC’s win was solidified when Denis Bouanga assisted Diego Palacios for the final goal, securing a comfortable route back to the final.
