Colorado State’s victory over No. 8 Creighton, 69-48, has given the team even more reason to celebrate this Thanksgiving. The Rams are now the champions of this year’s Hall of Fame Classic.
Tournament MVP Isaiah Stevens, standing at 6’0, led the Rams to victory with 20 points, 14 of which were scored in the second half. Stevens also dominated in assists and rebounds, with seven of each, closely following Joel Scott’s nine rebounds. On the other hand, Creighton struggled with a shooting percentage of just 27.9% from the field, while Colorado State managed to hit 47.6% and shot over 50% in the second half.
The Rams, with a perfect 6-0 record, will face their rivals Colorado next Wednesday. Meanwhile, Creighton, with a 5-1 record, will seek redemption against Oklahoma State on the following Thursday.
