College Basketball Star Stands Up to Racist Fan, Confronts ‘Terrorist’ Taunt in Stands

In a recent college basketball game between the Cal Bears and Texas Tech, a disturbing incident took place when one of the players was racially abused by a fan. The game, which saw Cal lose 75-72 to UTEP, took a shocking turn when forward Fardaws Aimaq leapt into the stands after being called a “terrorist.”

A video of the incident quickly went viral on social media, showing Aimaq confronting the fan who had insulted him. The player, of Afghan origin, stood tall over the student and questioned him about his derogatory remarks, prompting an outpouring of support from users on X (formerly Twitter).
