Clemson Missing Multiple Starters at NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Clemson Tigers are facing a shortage of players on both offense and defense as they prepare for their game against NC State. Injuries sustained in the previous game against Miami continue to affect the team as they enter Carter-Finley Stadium.

Unfortunately, wide receiver Antonio Williams will not be able to play due to a toe injury. Although he returned to the field against the Hurricanes, the issue resurfaced in the second quarter. Head coach Dabo Swinney has expressed concern about Williams’ ability to return later in the season, so monitoring his progress will be crucial as the season progresses.

The defensive line is also impacted by two major absences: defensive end Justin Mascoll and defensive tackle Peter Woods. Swinney had anticipated Mascoll’s absence, describing his status as day-to-day, but Woods’ absence comes as a surprise. Woods was seen wearing a boot last week, and now the rest of the defensive unit will need to step up in the absence of two starters.

On a positive note, defensive lineman Tre Williams has made the travel roster for the first time this season. His inclusion comes at an opportune time, considering the losses suffered by the team. Another player to watch is defensive end TJ Parker, who was observed limping during pregame warmups with a sleeve on his left leg.
