Charlie Woods, Tiger Woods’ Son, Celebrates First High School Golf Championship Victory

Fourteen-year-old golf prodigy, Charlie Woods, has continued to show that his extraordinary talent for the sport is deeply embedded in his DNA. The young athlete recently clinched his first state golf championship, an achievement that made his father, Tiger Woods, immensely proud.

The freshman student, part of The Benjamin School’s boys team, along with four other teammates, conquered Florida’s FHSAA Class A state championship. With remarkable scores of 78 and 76, Woods played a crucial role in securing the coveted trophy, delivering the school its fourth state title as reported by USA Today.

As a result of his hard work and dedication, Charlie finished fourth out of five on his team and tied for 26th overall in the tournament.

This win has propelled the young Woods ahead of his father, as Tiger never secured a state title when he was younger.

Just after emerging victorious in Florida, the 14-year-old secured a spot at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship in Louisiana, where his father caddied for him. This win came just days after his father accompanied him at another tournament.

After his win, Charlie mentioned in an interview that it was “great” to have the support of the golf legend. When it comes to competition, he stated, “We take it one shot at a time,” adding that his dad “puts me in my place” when talking about future shots.

Excited to see this dynamic duo tee off together on the green? Well, your wish will come true a few days early as Tiger Woods will return to the 2023 PNC Championship from Dec. 16-17 in Orlando, Florida with Charlie by his side.

Additionally, 14-year-old Charlie, Tiger Woods, and ex-wife Elin Nordegren also share 15-year-old daughter, Sam Alexis Woods.
