Can AI Boost Golfers’ Putting Performance?
That’s precisely what Odyssey, a putting division of Callaway, aims to achieve with their new Ai-One and Ai-ONE Milled putters. According to the company, these putters utilize cutting-edge artificial intelligence design and super-computing capabilities to create the most advanced insert in the golf industry.
The Ai-ONE inserts feature contours on their aluminum backers that ensure consistent ball speed across the entire face, accompanied by a grooved White Hot urethane layer, offering a timeless feel. Meanwhile, the Ai Window, constructed of automotive-grade polymer, allows golfers to observe the unique topology of the back of the insert. As for the Milled insert, it also incorporates AI-designed contours but on a stainless steel, 100% milled head.
Callaway reports that putts tested with the Ai-ONE insert finished 21% closer to the hole.
Both putters offer additional features such as a navy blue PVD finish, interchangeable front weights ranging from 5 to 20 grams, and an SL 90 counterbalanced shaft.
The Ai-ONE insert was trusted by Jon Rahm in his Rossie model and Sam Burns in his Seven model during the Ryder Cup.
Head shape options are as follows: Ai-ONE – #1, Double Wide DB, Rossie S, #7S, and #7CH; Ai-ONE Milled – One T, Two T, Three T, Six T, Seven T DB, Seven T CH, Eight T, and Eleven T.
