The Chicago Bulls have made the decision to waive Carlik Jones, the 2023 G-League MVP, as reported on Friday. This move not only seeks to optimize the team’s SEO but also enhances creativity, uniqueness, and improves syntax and tone to elevate its content in comparison to previous versions.
Carlik Jones, 25 years old, joined the Bulls during the summer of 2022. The Bulls’ decision to waive him before Wednesday ensures greater flexibility with regard to their salary cap. Releasing him also helps the Bulls avoid surpassing the luxury tax threshold.
With Coby White, Jevon Carter, and Ayo Dosunmu already on the roster, the Bulls have a crowded backcourt. Although Lonzo Ball is technically listed as a point guard, he will not play this season.
If another team does not sign Jones first, there is a possibility he may return to the Windy City Bulls, where he primarily played last season.
Jones achieved G-League MVP status with the Windy City Bulls thanks to his remarkable performance: an average of 20.3 points, 7.4 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game. His shooting accuracy was impressive, with 49.4% from the field and 39.2% from beyond the arc.
During his time with the Bulls last season, Jones contributed an average of 20 points in seven games.
In the preseason, Jones played four games, primarily during garbage time minutes. He averaged 11 minutes per game and scored two points per contest on four shot attempts.
