The LSU Tigers achieved a resounding victory over Army on Saturday night, securing their first shutout of the year on defense while putting up an impressive 62 points on offense. The team joyfully celebrated this triumphant homecoming. However, LSU now shifts its focus to the formidable Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama engaged in their annual rivalry game against Tennessee last weekend and emerged victorious over the Vols. Despite being down 20-7 at halftime, the Tide staged an incredible 27-0 comeback in the second half, seizing a 34-20 win under the guidance of coach Nick Saban.
The winner of this highly anticipated matchup will likely claim victory in the SEC West. However, before facing each other, both teams will enjoy a well-deserved off week. When asked about his plans for the upcoming bye week, Brian Kelly shared:
“As it pertains to the bye week, we will first address specific areas we deem important in practice, before shifting our focus to Alabama,” he stated. “Individually, there are certain aspects we want our players to examine, as well as some strategic considerations. We will address these on Tuesday and Wednesday.”
With two weeks dedicated to preparation, both teams are poised to deliver a thrilling contest, shaping up to be one of the standout games of the season.
