WASHINGTON, D.C. – Larissa Pacheco is gearing up for an epic battle ahead.
Following her victory in the 2023 PFL women’s featherweight title, PFL founder Donn Davis revealed that Pacheco (23-4) is set to take on Bellator women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg in her next fight.
Pacheco emerged victorious against Marina Mokhnatkina (11-4) in a unanimous decision at the 2023 PFL Championship at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., securing her status as a two-time PFL champion and anticipating an intense duel with Cyborg.
“It’s going to be a war,” Pacheco told MMA Junkie. “She’s Brazilian, and so am I. I’m going to prepare a lot for it. I don’t have a prediction for that fight, just that it’s going to be legendary.”
Many expected Kayla Harrison to be the first to fight Cyborg, given their history and animosity.
On the topic, Pacheco remarked, “The reality is that she was the champion and a two-time champion, but I’m also a two-time champion, and there’s nothing more fair than for me to get that fight instead of her.”
