Billy Horschel
is set to face his worst PGA Tour season in 2014, following his victory at the FedEx Cup.
“Practice, practice, practice,” stated the Ponte Vedra Beach resident, as he just missed his 10th cut this season at the
RSM Classic
, held at the Sea Island Club. “I’ll just be grinding away, trying to get better.”

Horschel finished 90th on the FedEx Cup points list and failed to make the playoffs for the first time in 11 seasons, landing at 110th during the
FedEx Cup Fall

Horschel, a former University of Florida All-American, made it to the Tour Championship six times, never landing lower than 66th since his 2013 FedEx Cup victory.
The seven-time PGA Tour winner’s performance peaked last season when he
captured his most recent title
at The Memorial.
Billy Horschel found good results in Europe
Post PGA season, Horschel headed to Europe where he delivered three promising performances, paving the way for the launch of the Horschel Family Foundation by his wife Brittany.
Additionally, Horschel focused on modifying his irons to achieve a better trajectory and minimize errors.
Despite significant improvements, Horschel faced putting challenges at Sea Island, affirming that it’s all part of the sport.
Horschel will play in Grant Thornton
Following his recent challenges, Horschel is gearing up for the Grant Thornton Invitational, aiming to strengthen his game until the next season.
“I played decent in Europe … it’s close,” he said. “Just get a little more consistent, day in and day out.”
