Bayern Munich’s luck seemed to improve after the departure of Sadio Mané in the 2022/23 season when they managed to acquire Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur to replace the former Liverpool FC winger. However, their former star, Robert Lewandowski, is not faring well at FC Barcelona, and his position is at risk after the signing of talented Brazilian forward Vitor Roque. The 35-year-old Polish international may soon be replaced by the 18-year-old Roque who is set to join the club in 2024–a decision backed by Barca’s sporting director, Deco.

“We all want Vitor Roque to come as early as possible”, Deco stated. “He’s my bet, Xavi’s bet and the club’s bet. We will do everything we can to have him in January. We know the La Liga regulations. There have been some changes that can help us.”
Coach Xavi aims to rely on young talents like Marc Guiu, Fermín López, and Lamine Yamal to lead Barcelona, emphasizing the need for a different approach compared to Lewandowski’s gameplay at Bayern. With time running out, the pressure is on the former Bayern number 9 to rediscover his form.
Meanwhile, Bayern is facing its own set of challenges.
