Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman Scores Twice in Victory Against Freiburg
Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Freiburg in the Bundesliga. Coman scored once in each half, with Leroy Sane’s goal assisted by Harry Kane adding to Bayern’s lead in the first half.
Coman’s superb performance helped Bayern recover from their draw against RB Leipzig last week. After his opening goal in the 12th minute, Coman scored another after the interval, solidifying Bayern’s position as the third team in the league with 17 points, just two points behind the leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
Coman’s first goal was a sensational shot from the side line, surprising everyone with its accuracy from a distance of 25 meters. Sane then extended Bayern’s lead in the 25th minute thanks to a brilliant give-and-go play with Kane. However, Sane’s second goal was disallowed after a VAR review.
With Freiburg unable to pose a threat, Bayern eased off in the second half. Coman had the opportunity to score again in the 78th minute but instead passed the ball to an offside Mathys Tel.
Tel replaced Bayern’s top scorer Kane in the 72nd minute. Later, Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu saved a shot by Leon Goretzka, but couldn’t prevent Coman’s deflected shot from making it 3-0 two minutes later.
