ATP Stockholm Day 3 Predictions
Thiago Seyboth Wild vs Roman Safiullin
Head-to-head: Seyboth Wild 1-0 Safiullin
Roman Safiullin boasts a superior record on hard courts compared to his opponent. While all of Thiago Seyboth Wild’s Challenger Tour finals have been on clay, Safiullin has excelled on the hard courts. Additionally, Seyboth Wild’s wins at the Grand Slam level have predominantly been on clay, including a memorable victory against 2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev at the French Open.
However, in their only previous meeting, Seyboth Wild emerged victorious on the hard courts in Zagreb. Despite this, Safiullin is favored in their upcoming clash at the ATP Stockholm Open. Seyboth Wild has had a month-long break from tournaments, while Safiullin reached the final in Chengdu just a few weeks ago. Although Safiullin’s performance can be inconsistent, he should advance if he plays near his best.
Prediction: Safiullin in 3

Laslo Djere vs J.J. Wolf
Head-to-head: first meeting
While Laslo Djere has significantly improved on hard courts in recent years, J.J. Wolf has the advantage in this matchup. Wolf has been in excellent form and continued his success with a straight-sets victory against Sebastian Baez in the first round of the ATP Stockholm Open. The fast conditions in Stockholm perfectly suit Wolf’s style of play, which may cause Djere to feel rushed and under pressure. Djere will need to capitalize on any opportunities he gets on Wolf’s serve in order to avoid defeat.
Prediction: Wolf in 3
Gael Monfils vs Marton Fucsovics
Head-to-head: Monfils 2-0 Fucsovics
It has been almost four years since Gael Monfils and Marton Fucsovics last faced each other, rendering Monfils’ head-to-head advantage meaningless in this context. Monfils, who hasn’t played a match since the US Open, may struggle with rustiness against an in-form opponent like Fucsovics, who recently came close to reaching the round of 16 at the Shanghai Masters. Fucsovics has also secured victories against Sebastian Korda and Felix Auger-Aliassime this season, showcasing his excellent form. While Monfils can rely on his superior skills, the challenge of facing an in-form opponent in fast conditions might prove difficult for him to overcome.
Prediction: Fucsovics in 3
