ARCA champ Jesse Love to join RCR Xfinity team

Jesse Love emerged as a dominant force in the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season, securing victory in ten out of the 20 races to clinch the championship title. Remarkably, Love has already established himself as a 2-time ARCA West champion, triumphing in 2020 and 2021, making him the youngest champion in NASCAR history.

In his debut appearances in the NASCAR Truck Series this year, Love showcased his talent, finishing ninth at Gateway and 13th at Kansas.

Love will be replacing Sheldon Creed at RCR, as Creed recently announced his departure from the team after the 2023 season. The No. 2 RCR Chevrolet will continue to be sponsored by Whelen Engineering.

Richard Childress, Chairman and CEO of RCR, expressed his admiration for Jesse Love’s impressive performance in the ARCA Menards Series and his belief in Love’s potential to win races and contend for championships within the RCR’s NASCAR Xfinity Series program. RCR is excited to have Whelen back as the primary sponsor for the No. 2 program and expects Jesse to serve as a strong ambassador for Whelen.

Love himself shared his gratitude for the opportunity to race for a legendary team like Richard Childress Racing, stating that he has always dreamed of competing at the highest levels of the sport since he was a young kid. Love also acknowledged the significance of representing Whelen, a company deeply involved in motorsports and committed to producing American-made products.
