Florida State football has secured yet another top commitment, this time from Jamari Howard. The Florida defensive back is an elite cornerback prospect, known for his exceptional speed and athleticism.
Howard is set to play in the 2024 All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. According to ESPN, he is ranked as the No. 12 cornerback prospect in the nation and the No. 119 player overall.
Currently playing for Norland High School in Miami, Florida, Howard’s addition has helped elevate Florida State to having the fourth-best recruiting class in the nation, according to 247Sports.
He initially committed to Michigan State but later re-opened his recruitment in May.
With interests from Florida, Maryland, Michigan State, Rutgers, and Florida State, it was during an interview with On3 that Howard revealed his affinity for Florida State and head coach Mike Norvell, stating, “Coach Norvell is bringing Florida State back to how it was. And we are off to a great start, now we have to finish that way. Coach Norvell and the staff have the team doing big things and we are going back to the top.”
