Alabama MBB ranks No. 24 in Preseason AP Top 25 Poll

The AP Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Poll was released on Monday afternoon. Among the rankings, the Alabama Crimson Tide secured the No. 24 spot.

This ranking comes approximately seven months after the Crimson Tide suffered a loss in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against the San Diego State Aztecs. Under Nate Oats’ leadership, the team had to make significant adjustments during the offseason, losing three players to the NBA draft, three players to the transfer portal, and two players to graduation.

However, Alabama successfully brought in four transfers and five incoming freshmen, while also retaining three key contributors from the previous season: Mark Sears, Rylan Griffen, and Nick Pringle. With a solid foundation, Alabama aims to build on its impressive 31-6 record from last year.

In addition to Alabama, four other SEC programs made it into the AP Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Poll.
