A’ja Wilson’s impressive performance during the WNBA Finals has gained even more recognition.
The 27-year-old forward has been seen wearing a wrist cast in the days following the New York Liberty’s defeat in the championship game against the Las Vegas Aces. Wilson, who was named Finals MVP after leading the Aces to a 3-1 series win, averaged 23.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in nine playoff games.
On Friday, just two days after their victory, Wilson and her teammates had a fun outing at bingo, as shared by guard Sydney Colson on social media. Everyone wore colorful wigs, but Wilson stood out with a black cast on her left wrist.

Wilson was once again seen with the cast on Monday during an interview with the WNBA’s official X account, ahead of the Aces’ championship parade. Although she didn’t address the cast in the videos, she did share her favorite moment from the season, aside from winning the championship, and playfully teased Colson.
“Definitely when we were playing at T-Mobile Arena — and this is so bad, I’m so sorry Sydney — we were playing at T-Mobile, and Sydney literally crossed herself up and face-planted on the court, and it gave me a good laugh,” she said.
