The Arizona Cardinals are making some changes to their roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Wide receiver Dan Chisena will be activated to play, filling in for Zach Pascal, who was unable to travel with the team to Pittsburgh due to personal reasons relating to the birth of his child. It was recently announced by Pascal on Twitter that he welcomed a baby boy named Zamir Noah Royan Pascal on December 1, 2023.
Chisena, a 6-foot-3 Penn State alum, has previously played in 27 career games with the Minnesota Vikings, primarily as a special teams player. Additionally, Michael Wilson will also be sidelined this week due to a shoulder injury.
In addition to Chisena, two other players will join the Cardinals full squad – defensive lineman Phil Hoskins and defensive back Divaad Wilson. Unfortunately, cornerbacks Starling Thomas V and Antonio Hamilton won’t be playing due to ankle and groin injuries, respectively. Linebacker Elijiah Wilkinson has also been ruled out for the game due to a neck injury.
Wilson, who was added to the active roster last week, will also miss Sunday’s game as a result of another injury concern. On the other hand, Hoskins was in uniform for the previous game against the Rams, recording a tackle.
