Hot Connection: Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb Keep Cowboys’ Offense sizzling with Touchdown against Seahawks

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys found themselves trailing at home for the first time this season, but their setback didn’t last long. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb quickly reclaimed the lead in just 2 minutes and 40 seconds.

Following DK Metcalf’s impressive 73-yard touchdown that gave the Seahawks a 7-3 lead, Prescott responded with an impeccable throw to Lamb, who had Devon Witherspoon in coverage. Lamb’s strategic motion on the play created an opening for Prescott’s 19th touchdown pass in his past seven games.

Most significantly, the Cowboys seized the lead again and capitalized on a 47-yard pass interference penalty on Riq Woolen to position themselves for another score.

With this score, Lamb became the 10th player in Cowboys history with at least 30 touchdowns within his first four NFL seasons, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Prescott also achieved a milestone, becoming the first Cowboys quarterback since 2000 with seven touchdown passes in the first quarter through the team’s first 12 games, and now leads the NFL in first-quarter touchdown passes.

Early in the second quarter, Prescott concluded an 11-play, 68-yard drive with a 7-yard touchdown pass to receiver Brandin Cooks, expanding the Cowboys’ lead to 17-7 with 11:37 remaining.

This marks Prescott’s sixth consecutive game with at least two passing touchdowns, matching the longest streak of his career and tying for the third-longest in Cowboys history (Don Meredith, eight,1965-66; Tony Romo, seven, 2006-07), per ESPN Stats & Info.
