Initial reports from New York Fashion Week allege that an argument at a hotel erupts into violence. Though Porter, Jr. was arrested and charged with second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault, Gondrezick later backpedaled on her allegations in October when one of the charges was dropped after an interview with Roland Martin where she claims selective interpretation of the facts by police and the DA’s office.

According to Gondrezick, the bizarre sequence of events started when Porter and his friends returned to their hotel room after New York Fashion Week. She described the situation, saying she was awoken by an inebriated Porter, who, after being left out of the hotel room by security, was yelling and trying to converse for “not even 10 seconds.” Allegations of a vicious assault were misinterpretations; her injuries do not match the narrative of repeated punches to her face.

Distressed by misinformation aired in the public domain, Gondrezick stated that this frenzy has damaged her reputation as a model and influencer. Furthermore, the accusations leveled against Porter, Jr. have left his career in uncertainty. Gondrezick emphasizes in her interviews that there is evidence disqualifying the alleged assault that heinous slanders have deprived her of economic opportunities.

Since these accusations and charges so far are unclear and conflicting, Gondrezick, despite the accusations turning violent, continues to deny her initial response in an interview with Roland Martin. She also stressed she never recanted her statements to the police.
