Welcome to the latest iteration of the Mountain West Recruiting Roundup!
Recruiting activity within the conference is gaining momentum. Every week brings fresh offers, visits, and commitments. This week was no different.
Offers continued to be extended this week, with at least one team receiving visitors and several new verbal commitments made to Mountain West teams.
This week saw two new commits, in addition to the revelation of one from the previous week. Colorado State and San Jose State each secured one commit, with the Spartans continuing their exceptional work on the recruiting front. Despite the potential to dominate the cover photo, this week’s spotlight is on the Rams, who performed equally well.

Recruiting Calendar:
From September 1st until the last week of November, we are in an evaluation period. Official visits can occur on campus during this time, and coaches can watch recruits play in person during their high school seasons.
Next College Student Athlete defines it as:
The NCAA Contact Period is exactly what it sounds like—all communication between athletes and coaches is fair game. Coaches can email, text, call, direct message and generally contact athletes and their parents through any NCAA-approved method. In-person contact can occur on the college campus, as well as at tournaments, at the recruit’s school and home. In other words, the communication floodgates are open, so take advantage of this opportunity to get unlimited access to talk to coaches.
Air Force Commitment Tracker:
As the Air Force Academy consistently boasts the most commits among Mountain West recruiting classes, tracking their progress throughout the year adds an element of excitement.
Number of Falcon verbal commits: 99

Commitment Spotlight:
JUCO LB David Tuihalangingie (San Jose State)
“I felt like the coaches wanted me more than I wanted them. And I haven’t even taken a visit there yet. I used to live in the Bay Area, and it’s always been a dream to play for SJSU since I was young. Once I got the opportunity to come play at San Jose State, I couldn’t pass up the chance!”
