Dustin Poirier responds to Conor McGregor’s wish for fourth fight, would ‘shut him up once and for all’

Dustin Poirier, in response to Conor McGregor, strongly believes that a fourth fight between them is not an absolute necessity, however, he is not opposed to the idea of it happening.

McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) expressed his necessity to have another fight with Poirier (29-8 MMA, 21-7 UFC) during a social media Q&A with fans, emphasizing the unsatisfactory conclusion of their trilogy bout at UFC 264 in July 2021.

After McGregor’s win at UFC 178 in September 2014, Poirier redeemed himself at UFC 257 in January 2021 with a second-round knockout.

The trilogy match ended in an anticlimactic fashion when McGregor suffered a broken leg resulting in the fight being stopped. The Irishman is planning his return to the octagon in 2024, with a likely match against Michael Chandler.

Poirier expressed his willingness to engage in another fight with McGregor, hoping to permanently silence his opponent. Even though he’s open to the concept, Poirier does not currently have a scheduled fight, but he has expressed interest in competing at UFC 300 which is expected to take place in April.
