The legal battle between Tiger Woods and his former partner, Erica Herman, has been resolved as it was dismissed by a Florida appeals court on Tuesday.
Herman had initiated the lawsuit in Martin County, Florida, last year against the trust that possesses Woods’ South Florida estate. She claimed that she was entitled to $30 million, the alleged amount of rent she would have had to pay for a comparable beachfront property over six years.
In addition, she contested the validity of a non-disclosure agreement with Woods, pointing to a federal law that deems NDAs unenforceable in cases of sexual harassment and assault. However, her claim was dismissed by a lower court judge, stating that she failed to present specific details of any harassment or assault.
In a recent filing with Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeals, Herman clarified that she had “never been a victim of sexual harassment or abuse by Tiger Woods or any of his representatives,” and that she never made a claim to that effect.
The court officially dismissed the appeal with prejudice on Tuesday.
According to court documents from the original lawsuit, Woods and Herman had a “long-term relationship for approximately six years,” and she was spotted with the 15-time major champion at the 2017 Presidents Cup. The relationship came to an end in October 2022.
