Report: Trent Williams expected to play in 49ers-Jaguars
The San Francisco 49ers are anticipated to receive a significant boost when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium this Sunday.
Left tackle Trent Williams, who missed the last two games due to an ankle injury, is reportedly expected to return to play, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday night, citing a source.

The 49ers listed Williams as questionable on Friday’s injury report, but the All-Pro practiced twice this past week, a positive sign that he would be cleared to play against the Jaguars.
Williams’ return should benefit quarterback Brock Purdy, who has struggled with interceptions in recent weeks, and it is expected to enhance the 49ers’ running game.
Adding to the excitement is the return of wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who missed the last two games with a hairline fracture in his left shoulder.
While the 49ers carry a three-game losing streak into their Week 10 game in Florida, the presence of Williams and Samuel is expected to help end the skid.
