Jayson Tatum has received recognition for his outstanding performance with the Boston Celtics as the NBA announced he is the Eastern Conference Player of the Week winner for the seven-day period from Oct. 30 through Nov. 5.

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors won the Western Conference Player of the Week award.

Tatum showcased excellent skills on the court, averaging 31.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game last week. His shooting percentage from the 3-point range was an impressive 54.2%. The Celtics won all three games during that period, bringing their record to 5-0 for the season.

Tatum is on his way to becoming the Celtics’ all-time leader in Player of the Week award wins.

On Saturday night in Brooklyn, Tatum delivered his best performance of the week, scoring 32 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a 124-114 victory over the Nets. In that same game, he also became the 10th youngest player in NBA history and youngest Celtics player ever to score 10,000 career points.

Tatum and the Celtics will face the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Monday night.
