The Portland Trail Blazers began their season with three consecutive losses, causing doubts about their ability to win any games. The Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and (ouch!) Orlando Magic triumphed over them as if it were effortless. However, fate took an unexpected turn. Portland shocked the Toronto Raptors on the road, followed by another road victory against the Detroit Pistons, and finally a triumph over the Memphis Grizzlies for their first home win of the season. Suddenly, the team that seemed incapable of winning is now sitting at 3-3, tied for eighth place in the NBA’s Western Conference. They even surpass the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, and the winless Grizzlies in the standings.

The six games played so far make up approximately 7.3% of the season. It’s still too early to draw any definitive conclusions. However, the perception of the Trail Blazers has drastically changed in just one week. Does this sudden shift from one extreme to the other result in something delightful or just a confusing mix?
