The Nashville Predators made a roster move on Monday, placing Cody Glass on injured reserve and recalling defenseman Marc Del Gaizo from the Milwaukee Admirals.
Glass, who has been sidelined for the past three games and hasn’t played since October 19th, has yet to record a goal or an assist this season. He is averaging 13 minutes and 4 seconds of ice time per game. Last season, Glass had 14 goals and 21 assists in 72 games.
The Predators initially expected Glass to be out for a week to ten days.
Del Gaizo, a 5-foot-11, 188-pound defenseman, was selected by the Predators in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft. He had an impressive season with the Admirals last year, tallying career highs in assists (28), points (31), and penalty minutes (50). In five games with Milwaukee this season, Del Gaizo has recorded one assist and no goals.
In their previous game, the Predators secured a 3-2 overtime victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Predators’ next game is scheduled for 9 p.m. on Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks, kicking off a five-game road trip.
