In the much-anticipated undercard event of Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou, Roberto Duran Jr was met with a devastating knockout loss.

Prior to the fight, Duran Jr boasted a 12-3 professional boxing record while facing off against undefeated Liverpudlian, Jack McGann, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The first round was rather uneventful, with both boxers feeling each other out.

However, in the second round, the fight took a dramatic turn when McGann landed a clean left hook on Duran Jr’s chin, causing him to collapse to the canvas. This was the first time Duran Jr had ever been knocked down.

Despite bravely getting back on his feet, Duran Jr stumbled twice, clearly unable to continue. The referee mercifully ended the bout.

McGann, a former MMA star with support from actors Tom Hardy and Stephen Graham, now holds a 9-0-1 record and looks ahead to his next significant fight.
