Danni McCormack retains title by technical submission, calls to UFC’s Mick Maynard

One of the highlights of the evening was the strawweight title fight between champion Danni McCormack from SBG Ireland and Karolina Wojcik. McCormack, putting her belt on the line for the first time, emerged victorious with a technical submission in the fourth round at 1:22.

Throughout the fight, McCormack displayed her dominance, pressuring Wojcik relentlessly and making it difficult for her to find her footing. In the fourth round, McCormack took control of Wojcik’s back and executed a rear-naked choke, leaving Wojcik with no option but to tap out. In March, McCormack secured the strawweight title by defeating Valesca Machado through a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 52. Wojcik earned her title shot with a split decision win over Ediana Silva at the same event.

The co-feature of the night was a flyweight bout between Kristina Williams and Dee Begley. After an intense 15 minutes, the judges were divided in their opinion, but Williams won over two of them with her striking prowess and impressive kicks.
