The Las Vegas Aces are set to host their WNBA championship parade on the Strip, and they’re taking it to another level this year, according to Finals MVP A’ja Wilson.

Following their first-ever franchise title win in 2022, Wilson invited fans to the parade after “four shots.” But now, after the Aces secured the 2023 Finals victory against the New York Liberty, she’s raising the stakes to “eight shots,” much to the excitement of her teammates.

“Last year, I said four shots. But this year, we’re going eight,” Wilson boldly announced. “Get ready for an incredible celebration!

“Children, enjoy your ginger ale, have fun, listen to your parents, go to bed on time, go to school, and get good grades. Adults – not old folks, but those who aren’t children – drink responsibly, because we’re about to turn up the energy out here.”

The parade will commence at 8 p.m. ET on Monday and will take place along Las Vegas Boulevard, leading to T-Mobile Arena. The event will conclude at Toshiba Plaza outside the arena.

During the Aces’ parade in 2022, Kelsey Plum assured everyone that it wouldn’t be the last celebration. Since then, Las Vegas has rejoiced in a Stanley Cup victory with the NHL’s 2023 champion, the Golden Knights, and now the Aces are ready to party again.

“This is the culmination of a long journey,” Plum expressed in 2022. “I want to let you all know that this is just the beginning. We’re just getting started.”
